GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
Glacier National Park Beautiful place in America is located in the USA State of Montana, on Canada US Border. It is 1,583 sqm and 700 miles trekking trail. The Park contains many ranges of mountains, number of lakes, unique kind of flowers, grizzly bears. There are lots of lakes larger ones and smaller ones but only some of them have names. The Glacier is the headwaters that flow to the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and to Hudson’s Bay. It is the best place to visit in America because of the landmarks and lakes.
There are some famous places which attract tourists like McDonald lake, Saint Mary Lake, Bird Woman Fall, Garden Wall, Rising Sun, Weeping Wall and Logan Pass. It includes many adventurous activities like Hiking, Climbing, Camping, Fishing etc. The view of the mountain is a very refreshing one can feel themselves there. There are also some Picnic spots from where you can admire the historic view like the mount for Donald picnic area, Illecillewaet Picnic Area, Summit of Rogers Pass Picnic Area, Bear Creek Falls Picnic Area.
The Mc Donald Lake is the largest lake in Glacier National Park which is 16 km long. The lake is so calm & the reflection on the lake is like glass very crystal clear. It located really close to the West entrance Going-to-the-sun-road. On a rainy day, it becomes more beautiful as it is.
Logan pass is the most of the Highest place in the Going-to-the-sun-road of Glacier National Park. In Logan Pass, there is a really excellent scene to explore wildlife and lots of wildflowers that are spread over the ground. There are two areas popular for Hiking which are Hidden lake trail and high-lying trail.
Saint Mary Lake
Saint Mary Lake is the second largest lake in the Glacier National Park Best place to visit in America. This lake is located on the east side of Going-to-the-sun-road which is 10 miles long. It is famous for Boating and water Skiing opportunities, there are numerous Hiking trails along its shore.
Bird Woman Falls
Bird Woman Fall is the Waterfall in the west of the Glacier National Park Beautiful place in America. Bird Woman Fall is the largest waterfall among various waterfalls by 360 feet tall. The name refers to Sacajawea, the Native American guide whose name might later translate to Bird Woman.
Grinnell Glacier is in the heart of Glacier National Park. This glacier is named after George Bird Grinnell, who was an advocate of ensuring the creation of Glacier National Park.
Bowman Lake is found in the northwestern area of Glacier National Park. It is located in the remote areas of the park so it is not often visited by visitors. The travelers can enjoy the picnic on the ground peacefully at day.
Kintla Peak is the tallest mountain in the Livingston range in Glacier National Park. Kintla Peak consists of Precambrian, which is an ancient rock that is part of the Belt Supergroup. It is named Kintla Peak because of Kintla Lake found in the northwest.
Hidden Lake is surrounded by numerous peaks that’s why it named hidden. It is surrounded by peaks like Bearhat Mountain in southwest, Clements Mountain to north and Reynolds Mountain to the east. Hidden lake is popular for hiking in day.
At Glacier National Park, there are many places to visit or explore like US Hwy 2 n the south side of the park that is the view of the river, train tracks, forest in one location which makes it more scenic. Looking Glass Hill Road is the road to the top of the hill where one can see the mesmerizing view of Lower Two Medicine Lake.
There are also thirteen campgrounds situated at the park. One can reach there by car or small transportation. The largest campsite is Apgar, located at southern end of Lake McDonald. Avalanche is also popular campsite that provides a trail of the cedars and Avalanche Creek trailhead.
